The Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans have two Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) contests left in the first half of North division play with the Northeast Community College Tigers coming to town on Thursday night.

MDCC traveled to Senatobia on Tuesday evening in hopes of picking up a much needed conference win, but the Trojans fell to Northwest Community College, 73-66, in a hard-fought battle. Terry Wallace (Aberdeen) was the leading scorer for Delta on Tuesday, putting up 22 points and coming down with six rebounds. Darius Jackson (Plaquemine, La.) had a solid night as well, finishing with 17 points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block.

In the latest home game for MDCC, the Trojans hosted Itawamba Community College and fell to the visiting Indians, 74-58. Wallace had 13 points and four rebounds, Jackson had 10 points and five rebounds and Clinton Norfleet (Byhalia) chipped in with 10 points, four assists and two steals.

Delta (7-8 overall, 0-4 in the North) went to Goodman to take on Holmes Community College on Monday, Jan. 13, but came away empty-handed after a 78-56 defeat. Wallace once again led all MDCC scorers with 16 points, as well as having two assists and two steals. Latrell Carter (Memphis, Tenn.) had 10 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal.

MDCC will host Northeast on Thursday night at J.T. Hall Coliseum in Moorhead, with the opening tip set for 8 p.m.
