Trojans defeat Coahoma in season finale

The Mississippi Delta Community College men's basketball team ended the 2019-2020 season on a high note on Thursday, defeating rival Coahoma Community College, 72-62, at J.T. Hall Coliseum in Moorhead.

Darius Jackson (Plaquemine, La.) and Chavis Banks (Yazoo City) each had double-doubles on Thursday to pace the MDCC offense, as Jackson had 22 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with two assists and one steal, while Banks had 18 points and 11 rebounds, along with two steals.

Anfernee Diggins (Greenville) scored in double-digits as well, ending the night with 14 points, as well as four rebounds and one steal to help pace the Trojans to a victory.

MDCC finished the 2019-2020 season with a 10-13 overall record and 3-9 record in Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) play under long-time head man Derrick Fears.
