Hoops duo named to All-State teams

The Mississippi Delta Community College basketball programs each had a student-athlete named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State teams for their efforts on the hardwood during the 2019-2020 campaign.

Darius Jackson (Plaquemine, La.) was selected to the All-State first team for the North division men's team, while Antanisha Wade (Cleveland) was chosen to the All-State second team for the North division women's team.

Jackson, a sophomore guard, led the Trojans in the scoring department all season, averaging 19 points per contest. He also led the team in assists per game with 2.3, as well as steals with 1.2 per game. He averaged 4.9 rebounds per game, which was good for second on the team.

Wade, a freshman forward, was the leading scorer for the Lady Trojans in 2019-2020, finishing with an 11.9 points per game average in her rookie campaign. She also averaged a team-leading 4.9 rebounds per game, as well as 1.3 assists per game and one steal per game.
