Latrell Carter, a former center on the Mississippi Delta Community College men's basketball team, has inked with the University of Montevallo to continue his academic and athletic career.

The Falcons are a member of the Gulf South Conference (GSC), a perennial power as a conference in the Division II ranks.

Carter, a Memphis, Tenn., native and Whitehaven High School graduate, played in 20 contests for the Trojans as a sophomore in 2019-2020. He averaged 21.5 minutes, 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest.

As a freshman in 2018-2019, the big man played in 19 contests, averaging 6.1 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Carter will have two seasons of eligibility remaining for the Falcons.
