Basketball attendance guidelines set for 2021
MOORHEAD – The 2020-2021 school year has brought about innumerable changes to the Mississippi Delta Community College athletic department, and the upcoming men's and women's basketball seasons are no exception. Due to COVID-19, attendance at J.T. Hall Coliseum will be very limited due to the mandated 10% capacity policy for indoor events.
In following along with the policies, there will be passes given to MDCC players, coaches and managers, and this is all that will be allowed entry inside J.T. Hall Coliseum.
MACCC passes will be accepted to home events, but MHSAA passes will not be accepted to any college-sponsored events, and only those with proper credentials in showing a pass will be allowed to enter the coliseum.
There will be no visiting fans, performing groups, general public or MDCC student/faculty tickets available under the 10% capacity guidelines.
However, fans of the program may watch all home games live on our YouTube channel by searching "MDCC Sports Network."
The only seats available will be the chairback seating just above the retractable bleachers, which will remain pushed back for the 2021 season. The team benches will be spread out on the sideline/baseline areas, with the scorer's table in between the two benches. A media table will be set up across the floor on the opposite side.
With the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACCC) adopting the mirror schedule policy where one program is playing at home while the other is on the road, there will only be game per evening in Moorhead. All contests at J.T. Hall will start at 6 p.m.
Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the arena and all spectators will be socially distanced under a mandatory face mask order.
