Wade's huge night leads to thrilling win over Coahoma

Antanisha Wade (Cleveland) had a big-time finish to the 2019-2020 season on Thursday night in Moorhead in helping lead Mississippi Delta Community College to a thrilling 68-67 victory over Coahoma Community College in women's basketball action. The freshman forward finished with 30 points, including an acrobatic four-point play with just over seven seconds remaining in the contest and the Lady Trojans trailing by three to secure the win.

She was 11-16 from the floor, including two-for-five from three-point range and six-for-nine from the free throw line, as well as pulling down five rebounds and picking up two steals.

Venita Williams (Southaven) had a solid night as well, as she finished with 10 rebounds and eight points on the evening.

The victory ended the 2019-2020 campaign for the Lady Trojans, who finished with a 6-17 overall record and 2-10 mark in Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) play under first-year head coach Tangela Banks.
