McGregor named MACJC Special Teams Player of the Week

Lane McGregor (Pontotoc), a sophomore punter on the Mississippi Delta Community College football team, was voted as the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Trojans 41-23 loss to East Mississippi Community College in week four.

He is now eligible for national honors as chosen by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national office.

McGregor finished the week four contest with nine punts for 361 yards, good enough for a 40.1 yards per punt average.

He had a long punt of 56 yards and left five punts inside the EMCC 20-yard line.

McGregor and the Trojans will now head to Clarksdale on Saturday to take on Coahoma Community College at 3 p.m.
