Jeff Tatum named VP of AFCA Board

Jeff Tatum, head football coach at Mississippi Delta Community College, was recently elected vice-president of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) board at the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) convention in Nashville, Tenn., in mid-January.

Tatum, who recently served as the organization's secretary, was promoted to vice-president at the annual convention.

He has served as the head football coach at MDCC, his junior college alma mater, for seven seasons, and relishes the opportunity in this new role.

"It is certainly an honor to be recognized by your peers," said Tatum. "I am grateful for the recognition, as we aim to continue to improve the game of football moving forward."
