A'tajua "Tay" Wren has joined the MDCC softball team as an assistant coach. The Tupelo High School alum had an impressive career for the Golden Wave.

She recorded more than 30 wins and 300 strikeouts.

Helped lead Tupelo to the MHSAA Class 6A state championship in 2017

Coach Wren continued her education and softball career at Mississippi Valley State University where she earned SWAC pitcher of the week and led Valley to their first shutout in three years.

"Tay is a versatile coach who has a ton of knowledge of the game," Lady Trojan Head Coach Tre Hobbs said.
