Trojan Athletes Get Post Season Recognition

The 2024-25 basketball seasons have ended at Mississippi Delta Community College. With much improved seasons for both the Lady Trojans and Trojans, several players were honored with post season awards.
For the Trojans, sophomore Davion Traylor was named to the All MACCC Second Team. Traylor led the team to an overall 14-16 record and averaged 19.3 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game.
For the Lady Trojans, Janiah Caples was named to the All MACCC First Team while Layla Carter was named Second Team and Lauren Nelson was Honorable Mention.
Caples led the team in scoring averaging 15.5 points per game and averaged 5.5 rebounds and led the team in three point percentage hitting 41.7 percent. Carter was second in scoring averaging 11.7 but led the team in rebounding averaging 6.6 per game. She also led the team in field goal percentage hitting 51.2 percent of her shots. Nelson was third on the team in scoring averaging 9.2 points per game and was second in rebounding with a 5.8 game average.
