Ceasar Jones – Football 1986-1988
After winning a high school state championship in Pensacola, Florida, Jones followed his older brother Chuck's path and came to Moorhead to run play for the Trojans.
"We ran the ball a lot and we were loaded with talent but we underachieved," Jones said. "We had some close ballgames we should have pulled out. We had some heartbreaking losses."
His talents were noticed by Sterling College in Kansas where he was KCAC Honorable Mention All Conference as a running back. After Sterling, Jones worked in the delivery business before returning to Mississippi, where he began a career in law enforcement. His first post was for the Indianola Police Department in 1996. He then worked for the Picayune PD in 1999 and in 2001 became the School Resource Officer at Pearl River Central Campus.
Looking back on his time at Moorhead, Jones called out his head coach.
"James 'Wooky' Gray – you can't help but remember him along with Coach Tatum and the rest of the staff," he said. "Moorhead isn't a place you go to but it's a place you take with you."
