Lady Bulldogs split with the Lady Bears

SUMMIT --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Saturday with the Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears winning 7-1 and falling 4-2 in game two.

Holmes will host Copiah-Lincoln on Saturday at 2/4 p.m.

In game one, Mollie Swilley got the start and went the distance. She gave up one run on eight hits with one strikeout. Jadyn Miles, Blair Walsh and Gracie Williams each had two hits with Walsh adding a grand slam. Coleman and Campbell Blaine each had a double.

In game two, Annie Sartin got the start and went the distance but suffered the loss. Swilley led with three hits while Miles had two. Walsh and Meg Glasgow each had a double.

Against Delta on Wednesday, the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two gamesfalling 4-1 in game and winning 5-1 in game two.

Holmes will travel to Southwest on Saturday for a 1/3 p.m. DH.

In game one, Annie Sartin got the start going the distance but taking the loss.  Blair Walsh and Campbell Blaine each had two hits in the game with Walsh adding two doubles. Abbie McGee and Mollie Swilley also added a double each.

In game two, Swilley got the start and went the distance picking up the win. She gave up one run on six hits with seven strikeouts and three walks. Walsh had a two run homerun while Blaine added a double.
