Three Trojans Receive MACCC All Conference Honors

Mississippi Delta Football has had 3 players to receive MACCC All-Conference tabs. MDCC Trojans had one of the best seasons in school history under the leadership of Coach Cedric Thomas.
The Trojans were just shy of the .500 mark this season finishing 4-5 overall. They found their way to the "Top 20 JUCO Weekly Ranking" this season during week 2 as they got patched as the number 19th team in the country. One of the most exciting football seasons in the Delta for the past few years. Coach Thomas and staff have given a glimpse of what to expect in the future out of Mississippi Delta Community College Football.

ALL CONFERENCE 1ST TEAM
Jeremiah Johnson- Defensive Back (Angullia,MS)
Johnson, 5'11 weighing in at 190 pounds was a nightmare for the opposing offense. Johnson recorded a total of 23 tackles during his Sophomore season. He has tallied 35 total tackles during his campaign at Mississippi Delta Community College. Jeremiah Johnson will be continuing his career at Georgia State University.

Lorenzo Perez- Wide Receiver (Clarksdale,MS)
Perez had many highlights this season as he recorded 53.6 yards per game to tally a season total of 482 yards for the Trojans. If you followed Trojan Football, you will remember his one-handed grab at Holmes Community College for a touchdown, to lead to a 24-15 victory over Holmes Community College.
Austin Summerall - Offensive Tackle (Jackson,MS)
Summerall is finishing his tenure at Mississippi Delta Community College. Weighing in at 290 and 6 foot 3 inches tall, Summerall is a big part of the offense that Coach Thomas has put together. One of many that served in the trenches to make Trojan Football have such a progressive year.
