Trojans Even Record with Win over UA-Cossatot

Evening their record to 4-4 on the young season, the MDCC Trojans' Men basketball team battled the University of Arkansas-Cossatot to a 94-84 win.

The Trojans were led by freshman wing Latrell Vance, who had a game-high 25 points (7 trey balls), freshman point guard Keondra Hampton also had 23 points while freshman Jherrone Jones checked in with 20.

The Trojans hit 13-three pointers in the game and shot 62 percent from the free throw line on 16-of-26 attempts.

With the win the Trojans head into Thanksgiving with a 4-4 record - the 4 wins have already surpassed last year's win total. The Trojans have three more games before Christmas break. All of them will be on campus at the J.T. Hall Coliseum starting with Nationally Ranked Northeast Mississippi Community College on Thursday, December 1st followed by Baton Rouge Community College on Saturday, December 3rd and finishing up the first half of the season Monday, December 5th against Meridian Community College.
